Privacy. What we collect, what we don't.

An open empty metal mailbox on a wooden post by a country road at noon under a blue sky.

What we keep is what you mailed us. Nothing else.

This is the privacy notice for Mule Digital, the digital studio operating at mule-digital.com. We're a small team across the United States, Belgium, and the Netherlands. We collect as little data as we can and we never sell it. This page explains what we keep, why, for how long, and what you can do about it.

1.0Who we are

Mule Digital is the data controller for this site. Reach us at info@mule-digital.com for any privacy question.

2.0What we collect

Four buckets:

  • Form submissions. When you fill out our project brief or newsletter form, we receive what you wrote (name, email, phone, business details, your answers). Forms are processed by Formspree and forwarded to our team email.
  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics and Microsoft (Bing) UET to understand how visitors find and use the site, and Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights (cookieless) for page counts and performance. Google and Microsoft set cookies for this; see the cookies bucket below. No Facebook Pixel, no ad retargeting.
  • Cookies. First-party functional cookies (e.g. your light/dark theme choice), plus the analytics cookies Google Analytics and Bing UET set. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies beyond those two analytics tools.
  • Client portal accounts. If you become a client and use portal.mule-digital.com, we additionally process: your account (email, name, optional profile and avatar) via Clerk; your messages with the studio and any attachments; your project, subscription, and payment records; and basic sign-in metadata (IP address and approximate city/region, used for account security). Portal data is stored with Supabase; payments are processed by Stripe, who handle your card — we never see or store card numbers; transactional email is sent via Resend.

3.0Why we collect it

  • To answer your inquiry and quote your project (legitimate interest).
  • To send you newsletters you explicitly subscribed to (consent).
  • To understand which pages help and which don't, so we can improve the site (legitimate interest / consent for analytics cookies where required).
  • To run your client account: deliver the work, message you, bill your plan, and keep your account secure (performance of contract).
  • To keep payment and invoice records (legal obligation: tax and accounting).

4.0How long we keep it

  • Form submissions: kept in our team inbox for as long as the relationship is active, then archived for up to three years for tax and accounting reasons.
  • Newsletter list: kept until you unsubscribe.
  • Analytics: aggregated; Vercel retains up to twelve months, Google Analytics up to fourteen months.
  • Portal accounts: kept while your account is active. Ask us to close it and we delete the account, profile, and messages; invoices and payment records are kept up to seven years because tax law requires it.

5.0Who we share it with

Only the processors required to run the studio:

  • Formspree · form intake (US-based, GDPR-compliant)
  • Vercel · hosting and analytics (US-based, GDPR-compliant)
  • Google · our email (Workspace) and Google Analytics (US-based, GDPR-compliant)

We never sell your data. We never share it with advertisers. We never share it with anyone outside the list above without your explicit consent.

6.0Your rights (GDPR)

If you're in the EU/EEA, UK, or any jurisdiction with similar laws, you have the right to:

  • Access · ask what we have about you
  • Correct · fix anything that's wrong
  • Delete · remove your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Export · get a copy in a portable format
  • Object · opt out of any specific processing
  • Complain · to your local data protection authority

Email info@mule-digital.com with the request and we'll handle it within 30 days. No special form, no fuss.

7.0Children

We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. The Mule Digital Students program is open to teens, but enrollment forms are designed to be filled by parents or guardians for under-18s, and we will delete any data submitted directly by a minor on request.

8.0Changes

If this notice changes meaningfully, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top and announce material changes via the newsletter.
